I enjoyed this restaurant, the service was really good, the food particularly good. The wine was great, and it's in a great spot. If you want to have a window onto the waterfront, then you must book, sadly for us we did not...

Such a friendly waitress, genuine from the heart. Because we were doubting which wine to take, she let us first taste and then choose. It is the first time this was spontaneously offered. It was understandably crowded and busy but we didn't feel the stress from the service. Decent food. I was tempted to go back the next day but I always want to try different places. The other places made me appreciate this one even more, they were not up to this standard.

Service is very good. Food also but a bit expensive for the given quantity. Poisson du jour was very tasty but desert not amazing. Still a nice restaurant.

So glad we found this place! Not at all stuffy and pretentious like some of the other higher end restaurants in St Valery and Le Crotoy, we found l'ardoise relaxed, welcoming, warm and stylish. The waiter was a pro, relaxed and unobtrusive, suggested a lovely merlot to go with my main. The menu is short and on blackboards - 3 to choose for entree, main and dessert - everything made fresh. We took the noix de st Jacques (locally caught) with gnocchi and the beef fillet with fried veg. So delicious, refined, beautifully presented, everything cooked perfectly. Desserts excellent too.

Super meal, small menu so the choice was limited but excellent food! We did book a table as even though it was a Monday in October it was still fairly busy. Food was very tasty and perfectly cooked, would definitely visit again if in the area.

This lovely restaurant is quite off center (at the end of the shopping street); but worth the small walk to get there - from the station. The storefront invites you to come in and the owners make you feel welcome. If you're lucky you'll get one of the tables in the back, which gives you a great view on the riverside. The menu is limited, but the options are sufficient and the dishes really tasty. I opted for the mi-cuit of tuna and we both took a (different) fish dish. The whole experience was enjoyable; so if you're in the surroundings, I would advise you to visit this place!

Couldn’t fault the food. The service was also very warm and friendly. The starter was lovely and the main course cooked to perfection. Both starter and main course had a beautiful blend of flavours. The menu is limited (3 starters, mains and desserts), so don’t expect a huge menu. However, the quality of the food put in front of you is second to none. Not the cheapest meal, but you get good value for money. We will definitely be back here again to eat. And they were also happy to allow our small dog inside as well, which in December, is very helpful
